Ladies, I have some bad news BUT if you keep reading I’m hoping that you’ll enjoy the good news at the end.
BAD NEWS -
Makia Creations has lost funding and therefore has closed their doors. This was sudden for me as well as for them. They are closing their doors this week, therefore no more orders will be processed through them.
I do have about 10 Favorite Things, 7 Remove Your Shoes and some First Aid kits if anyone is wanting any of those to do. Otherwise I’m going to be putting them together myself in various colors and selling them in my Etsy shop.
GOOD NEWS! -
Makia Creations has opened many doors for me and I am going to continue pursuing my dream of crafting and sharing it with others. I thoroughly enjoy craft groups and plan to continue doing them. The only change is that I am going to be responsible for coming up with the crafts myself and getting all of the needed supplies together. With that being said, I can only offer one craft per month. I wish I was “smart” enough to come up with more, but at this point I think there is only enough room on my plate to create one. I want the one that I create for all of you to be of good quality and something that everyone will enjoy. If I spread myself too thin, you won’t be getting that from me.
Are ya still with me?! I hope that this news doesn’t disappoint my loyal customers as it has me.
With that being said, I am going to be shutting down this site and transferring it all to my new craft blog. I didn’t want to keep this one with Makia Creations in the name when they are no longer in existence. I’ll leave this site up for a couple more weeks to allow everyone time to make their way here to read this so you can visit me over at the The Ruffled Daisy.
You can click the image below to go to the new site! I hope to see you there and I hope I can continue to please you as my customers!
Just FYI – June craft group will still be on the fourth Saturday of the month. I have what we are going to be working on and just need to get it put together and posted for everyone to see. You’ll love it, I’m almost positive of that!!
Here’s a hint – think Subway Art and House Rules!

I have to apologize that I didn’t get these posted last week. They were announced but with Easter preparation and kids out of school, it simply slipped my mind.
Without further ado….
The second place winner is Suzanne.
“Suzanne created a wonderful way to always keep in mind those things we are thankful for with this elegant dry erase board. Don’t we all need that reminder? We loved the added touch the fabric flowers gave, and you KNOW how much we love vinyl lettering. The best part? You can change the message each and every day – or even multiple times a day – to remember the many blessings we enjoy and should be thankful for. Isn’t this brilliant? We loved it.”
And the first place winner…
Missy who created the Vintage Door Knob Decor Board!
“Missy created this phenomenal piece of home decor using some wood, paint, and some wall paper! Throw in some gorgeous different knobs and hangers, and you’ve got a beautiful and functional piece of home decor that is sure to impress – and we love that. The design is so simple, but the end result is absolutely stunning. Do you love it? We love it. We really, really love it.”
Stay tuned because they are going to be released as projects in the near future! You’re going to want to snag them. They are that good!

Or, how about a gift for the school nurse?
